Our Goal
To coordinate and provide the highest quality standard of orthopedic care to each child. This care comes at no cost to the patient or family and is continued into their adulthood as needed.

How You Can Help
Each trip requires a significant amount of medical supplies and medications. With no administrative overhead, your donation goes directly towards supplies to make these trips possible.

Who We Are
The Silver Service Children’s Foundation is an all volunteer medical team comprised of board certified pediatric orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, surgical technologists and instrument specialists. Based in Chicago, we are a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides pediatric orthopedic surgical care twice each year to the underserved children of Colombia and other countries in South America. Our work is made possible through partnerships with our friends and colleagues at Casa de Colombia and the Foundation Hospital San Jose in Buga, Colombia. We have completed 59 medical missions to date!
Colombian Earthquake Relief
Help Us Support Colombia 🇨🇴
On August 10, 2026, a devastating 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia, causing widespread destruction across communities including Cali, Pereira, and the surrounding region. Nearly 290 people have lost their lives, more than 4,200 have been injured, and over 140 people remain missing as rescue and recovery efforts continue.
Colombia has been our home away from home for more than 30 years, and our hearts are with our colleagues as well as our patients and their families who are encountering great loss as a result of this tragedy.
